What was the most difficult promise you made?

motivator

What was the hardest vow you've taken? What was the greatest commitment or promise you've made? Would you make it again?
I would say that my most difficult promise that I have to make to myself and to a number of people that I know from my parents, therapist, teachers, friends and to God would be: not throwing a temper tantrums on anyone, talk calmly and listen after what others have to say.  Till this day, I do acknowledge this is one of the most difficult promise that I have to keep for myself as years gone by.  As I get older, some physical parts of me becomes more sensitive to anger, stresses and environment.  My body, or even anyone's body would need to rejuvenate and get a little bit of breakdown to get back to tip top level.

What have you been the most naive about?

brain

I am most naive about my own mind.  I think a mind is a very fragile part of our central nervous system that could change in the course of our lives.  Brain define as: The portion of the vertebrate central nervous system that is enclosed within the cranium, continuous with the spinal cord, and composed of gray matter and white matter. It is the primary center for the regulation and control of bodily activities, receiving and interpreting sensory impulses, and transmitting information to the muscles and body organs. It is also the seat of consciousness, thought, memory, and emotion.

I have and continue to witness of brain related issues: mental health traumas, Alzheimer, dementia and more in my journey of life.  Brain is one of the facilities that as a human, take it for
granted.  We use them everyday and we feed them with good to bad things into it.  I find as I get older, as I heard about mental health or Alzheimer related issues that affected the brain's workings, I begin to realize that the brain that wires the whole me.  That brain assist to do the job for the other parts of the bodies/systems to keep me alive and moving.

What is the most difficult thing about love?

Posted on Dec 13th, 2008 by rugged_gurl1 : The Virtue of Many Things In Life rugged_gurl1
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 12, 2008:

Never pretend to a love which you do not actually feel, for love is not ours to command.
Alan Watts

All love shifts and changes. I don't know if you can be wholeheartedly in love all the time.
Julie Andrews

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone deeply gives you courage.
Lao Tzu

These above 3 quotes sums up the difficulties, love is beyond our control, love evolves  over time, and love requires courage when times are difficult.
Even as I am busy with my work or with my own daily life, love is part of life that occurs each day without answers and only more questions.

Where would you recommend people give their time?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 20, 2008:

The family.  We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.  ~Erma Bombeck

In time of test, family is best.  ~Burmese Proverb

How did you meet your partner?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 22, 2008:

Perhaps because I am attracted to the same sex, it can still be a taboo to write about how you meet your partner.  It was not too long ago that I met her when we were at a group meeting.  It took a while until I register her attraction towards me.  I really did not think too much about that moment, expect to let the moment to occur.  Also it is to let oneself to trust someone else completely.  Really without the reservations, well, even if one does, you just ask why and deal as the situation goes.  Currently, this relationship is quite interestingly comfortable and respectable.
