What do you have the hardest time giving?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 05, 2009:

I do not think that trust can be freely given or should be given in such abudance without some thoughts.  Trust define as: reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.
confident expectation of something; hope.
For me, trust is an issue that I do see a need a work in progress.  I sought these following quotes would sum up well.
The inability to open up to hope is what blocks trust, and blocked trust is the reason for blighted dreams.
Elizabeth Gilbert

Self-trust is the first secret of success.  Ralph Waldo Emerson

The motivational posters that I seen  all those years at school and at places that I worked at in the past such as the one I will post below as an example.
These posters are colorful and yet powerful with just one simple saying to get your day through with a thought.

Do you believe there is value in suffering?

Posted on Jan 13th, 2009 by rugged_gurl1 : The Virtue of Many Things In Life rugged_gurl1
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 11, 2009:

Suffering, I believe is rather ironic.  I believe suffering is not necessary good or bad dependent on the situation(s).  A good quote I find from The Dalai Lama:
"The basic thing is that everyone wants happiness, no one wants suffering. And happiness mainly comes from our own attitude, rather than from external factors. If your own mental attitude is correct, even if you remain in a hostile atmosphere, you feel happy."
As an example, I find reading self-help books can be useful, but at the same time, as a tool, rather then a follow guide.  I believe that when you're suffering, you would like to read self-help books.  You would like to end suffering or ask why or wonder why it happens to you.  It is part of human nature to ask all these questions.
Another view of suffering, now as the economy are not in favor of anyone now, lots of folks have to sacrifice or to suffer job, house, money loses.  We are not prepared to suffer, ever, or should we expect to be.  Each day, I only see and hear hopelessness to hope, but I do not see realistic and too truthful(and perhaps it is a tad bit better late than never) true picture of the cycle(s) of our economy.  Will the truth ease or alleviate suffering?  I am not sure?

Marley and Me- not a typical review

Posted on Jan 14th, 2009 by rugged_gurl1 : The Virtue of Many Things In Life rugged_gurl1
This review or rather a long blurb is about the currently released movie and after thoughts: Marley and Me.  It is also a book with the same title.
It was a few years ago that I notice that book and liked Jennifer Aniston said, "the book was a dog book" until I went and watched the movie with the endorsement of the author, John Groban.  I went to his website, I noted a few editions of his book, I would like to obtain the illustated picture copy of that to see the life of Marley.
After watching the movie, I could relate to the stories of a pet owner in general.  I do not know it only applies to the dogs, but as I watched the movie, I could see how pets and people are closely integrated to one another's lives without even us knowing it.
Marley was a lovable mischief soul that craved for constant attention and yet at the same time, teaching a lifetime of lessons about when times are tough, you need to take time out and wonder around how it becomes this way.
...which leads me thinking about...
As an owner of a pair of cats, one of them, a neurotic, high string, no rules barred Abyssinian.  If any of you do not know what an Abyssinian are: they are independent spirited, high willed, strong, muscular body and can be a vocal cat.  My cat, Mia loves my laptop computer, me, and her own territory, me.  She follows me like a shadow.  She howls like a dog.  She is agile.  She knows when trouble comes.  She talks more than any talkative person does, if you doubt that, try to stay with her for 24 hours.  I wonder she ever sleep at all, but she does for a few hours.  I picked her out at my local animal shelter.  She is pretty good looking.  She looked at me, then oh well, the rest goes.  She tried to run away before she went to my ownership.  She is not a human cat.  She leaves the judging to my other tabby cat, Dono.  Cats may not run around like dogs looking for adventures, but they do fetch a few mice, get into some mischiefs, chew into your electrical wirings, and get themselves pregnant without your prior knowledge when you brought her home.   These were the things my 2 cats managed to get done in the past few years of my acquiring them.
MarleynMe

End note: Marley was  the star of the film and I have not read the book yet and I will, promise at some point.

How could your life be more balanced?

Posted on Jan 16th, 2009 by rugged_gurl1 : The Virtue of Many Things In Life rugged_gurl1
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 16, 2009:

As I am writing this entry, I have been feeling very mind bottled with loads of information that I could possibility process.  I could not remember every detail, of course, who would even bother of what I write on comments.  I can tell you that I do not even begin to attempt to work on getting things done everyday.  If I do not get my work done for the day, I would not cry a fowl.  I would let the items left undone that needs to do, decide them later.  I do not know how else to keep my life when I had when I was in my college days, which was not quite a decade ago.  I did struggle with depression due to the fact that I needed to keep up the Jones.  I could not be someone that I was not.  I kept up with a lifestyle of going out socially on the weekends to church, hanging out to friends or having movie nights.  Ever since I have Asperger, I understand my limitations and I will not allow myself to stretch my limits that I could not.  The latest set back for me now is: lumber disc disease.  I do not cry in sorrow, rather I have long decided that I will continue on my routines the best of ability as I could be.

How do you deal with fear?

Posted on Jan 19th, 2009 by rugged_gurl1 : The Virtue of Many Things In Life rugged_gurl1
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 19, 2009:

"Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better."
King Whitney Jr.
and I believe the following song from Chicago- You're the Insipiration always remind me of how love is a step of courage to trust others.
